A note from teresa… What an amazing journey… being the youth minister here at Bethel has been an experience I will hold in my heart for the rest of my days. I wish to thank the teenagers who have blessed my life these past 8 years for choosing to participate in our own FOCUS youth church. I say “church” because that is what it is. We do not just “hang out”, although we do love to hang out together… We do not just “play”, although we do love to play together… We worship, we laugh, we pray, we learn, we cry, we praise, we love, we help, we bond, we stand, we stomp, we read, we study… We have learned through Christ’s teachings that life is not about us. It’s not about our egos, our habits, what we do or say, what we wear or who we know. It’s all about Him. We continue to learn how to share God’s love by learning to build our relationship with Jesus and learning His scriptures so our confidence grows and our boldness comes out and we share His word and His love because we can’t help it… Bethel family, you have a generation of true disciples rising up in your church! Nurture them. Love them. Teach them. Help them to continue to grow. Teenagers… remember the unshakable declarations and hold them close in your heart:V I am called to preach the Gospel! (Mark 16:15)V I am a new creation in Christ! (2Cor 5:17)V I have a great future! (Jer 29:11)V I can do all things through Christ! (Phil 4:13)V By His stripes I am healed! (Isa 53:5)V No weapon formed against me shall prosper! (Isa 54:17)V I will not give into temptation! (1Cor 10:13)V God will speak to me today as I pray! (Jer 33:3)V I am FREE in Christ! So, we’d love for all of our High School students to come hang with us at our FOCUS group on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings! We talk about a lot of stuff that’s happening in our world and in our lives. We’ve learned to trust eachother and to know that FOCUS is a safe place to be and to share feelings, some really thoughtful questions and a lot of good laughs. Good, bad, scary, thrilling… you can trust that whatever we share in FOCUS, stays here!

Feel free to bring a friend or 2, or more! If you’d like to bring a friend to one of the events we attend, we just ask that you bring them to FOCUS 2 or more times before the event so we can get to know eachother.

At the beginning of each year, everyone needs to fill out the new Medical Release form. Click on the form at the top of the page, print it, fill it out and bring it with you to FOCUS.

If your family is in financial need, we have funds available to help. Please don’t let $ be a stumbling block for you going to these awesome events that FOCUS participates in. The events are carefully chosen to help you form Christian friendships and to help you build a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. Please call Bryan if you are in financial need just one-time or on-going.
